I can agree with the article to an extent. Even as a size 10/12 woman, I do sometimes think I am fat, until I am next to someone of a size 16-18 and then think, well I am quite skinny in comparison and it wouldn't matter if I put a stone on, I would still be slimmer than them! Where if I was associating with people who were a size 8 I would feel enormous. So yes, I do believe your thinking is linked to the size of the people you associate with or see in the street !

What a load of rubbish I have have skinny friends and my weight has never affected them it that kind of way. What a shame that some people will believe this.
